Feel Like Fencing?

I actually like to build fences. Now, it does help to have a hydraulic post hole digger (that is if its rocky or the ground is really hard) and Hollywood2 Manpower! Of course, there are all types of variables - one of which is how close can you get the truck? (Dudley is not ready to become a pack horse) and the trailer with the ATV's. Are we building or repairing, length of fence etc? I get a great deal of personal satisfaction from building fences - it is fun! Have you ever built a fence?

Boy have I ever built fence....too many to mention but I do have to say, I would rather build a new one than do repairs on the old ones!

More times than I care to count! I agree with Chris-would rather do new than repair the old. But it seems you always need to repair old fencing. Especially if you have any bovines!!!
I would suggest you be careful who all you let know that you like doing that, down here you would be put to work so fast it would make your head spin!!!

You can come down and build ours. The Farmer loves it, I hate it.

One Cowgirl, I would dearly love to be able to build fence...all by myself. I am a weakling and I can't even cut wire, as you already know. Sigh.

By the time I get these kids old enough to leave alone I'll be too dang old to do fences! (whew!)

Love your blog ... thanks for commenting on mine and I LOVE your picures and horses!

Nope, never built a fence but think it would feel like a great accomplishment.
Have an interesting story...I wrote a book about a wild west performer (Buckskin Bessie) we have since aquired a 1874 colt 45 engraved with the 101 (the wild west show) on it and it was said to have been found on their fence line. Now talk about a fence line...they had 100,000 acres and it covered four counties. Their fence riders were paid:)

I like the composition of the photo, and making it black and white was a good choice. Sadly, I know nothing about fence!

Hubby likes it, it bores me becasue I have to wait on him to get anything done. I can't wit until the Little Buckaroo's are old enough to hep him.

I love yesterday's picture of Didley, simply beautiful!
