Snickers!

There is something special about a little girl and a horse! This is a third grader that I've spent the last nine months mentoring - its been amazing to watch her transformation. Next time you are thinking of volunteering PLEASE consider mentoring a child - its been a wonderful experience.

I imagine the mentoring is even better when a horse is involved, along with such a great person as yourself!! ;) Have you ever read the book Hope Rising by Kim Meeder? You'll cry. She writes about working with horses and disadvantaged and abused children on her ranch in Central Oregon.

Oh my, don't not read that book unless you have a box of kleenex! It is a great book!
AMEN, keep it up! What a great thing you are doing! I love to see children with horses!

I love your blog and lurk quit often. I need to comment more...I know. This post is very inspiring, good for you! I agree with everyone on the Hope Rising book, it's wonderful! I was once that little girl on a horse, thanks to my grandad..

What a wonderful thing you are doing, your rock!

I'd like to start a program like Kim's when I retire! Having disadvantaged kids come out and see the horses and groom them! Yes, I've also read her book. Isn't it inspiring?
